The Marshes’ Junior Golf Development Centre provides a clear golf development pathway to children aged 4-18 by delivering nationally endorsed programs through trained and certified golf professionals. Our programs are also linked to schools in their communities.

The Junior Golf Development Centre provides comprehensive, first class coaching support throughout our offerings to foster a life-long passion for golf, whether juniors wish to play golf recreationally or pursue a more competitive experience.

Junior Golf Camp

The Marshes’ National Junior Golf Development Centre offers one-week Golf Camps throughout July and August on our European PGA-approved short course, The Marchwood and at our Golf Academy for $395.95 + HST

The camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of golf including the swing, the game and the key mental skills that dominate performance. Each week the campers will learn important golf skills and techniques, as well as leadership, sportsmanship and etiquette. Campers will also meet a lot of new friends while continuing to have fun though golf and other sporting activities.

Children from 7 to 12 years old will participate in the following activities under the supervision of our counselors:

  • Round of golf daily on Marchwood, our European PGA-approved short course
  • Daily golf instruction by PGA of Canada Golf Instructors and mental skills experiences from our specialized coaches
  • Outdoor swimming at Brookstreet Hotel
  • Round of Mini-Putt on Blackbird Falls Putting Course
  • Snacks, lunch and games
  • Golf Fitness and Physical Activity Games
  • Junior Skills Challenge
  • Prizes and Future Links Recognition

CN Future Links “Learn to Play” Programs

The Marshes’ National Junior Golf Development Centre offers CN Future Links “Learn to Play’ programs every Saturday starting in May as part of a national initiative to provide cost-effective and best-in-class programming. Each 6-week session includes 2 hours of lessons on Saturdays with instruction from PGA of Canada Professionals and our qualified coaches, followed by optional play on The Marchwood golf course.

For $149.95 + HST spanning 6 consecutive Saturdays , children from 4 to 12 years old will develop their golf and life skills thought an interactive curriculum covering Seven “Learn to Play” modules. As players attend and successfully complete their colour level, they advance to higher levels – golf’s version of martial arts belts.

Golf After School Program

The Marshes’ National Junior Golf Development Centre is pleased to offer an extension to our successful ‘Golf in School’ program with our ‘Golf After School’ program that offers a 5 week program of one-day-a-week golf experience in a fun, supportive, and safe learning environment that allows for children to learn about golf with their classmates for $295.95 + HST

Spring Program - Tuesday- 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
May 14th, May 21st, May 28th, June 5th and June 12th

Fall Program - Tuesday- 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
September 13th, September 20th, September 27th, October 4th and October 11th

Children from 7 to 18 years old will participate in the following activities under the supervision of our PGA of Canada Professionals and Junior Golf Development Leader:

· Coaching on the fundamentals of golf, including basic swing technique to short game instruction
· Integration of the core values of the game, ranging from etiquette to sportsmanship to persistence
· Nutritional snack and homework time
· Rounds of golf on The Marchwood, our European PGA-approved short course

CN Future Links “Skills Challenge” Events

The Marshes’ National Junior Golf Development Centre will host two ½ day skills challenges for children aged 6-18 who wish to measure their skill level in putting, chipping, iron play and driving.

All results will be made available to participants through a CN Future Links’ Golf National Leaderboard that allows them to be eligible to compete at Glen Abbey Golf Club on July 16th during RBC Canadian Open Championship festivities.

For $24.95 + HST per player, Skills Challenges will be hold on Sunday May 22nd and Sunday June 19th from 9 am to 1 pm

PGA Junior League Golf Events

The Marshes’ National Junior Golf Development Centre will host Four PGA Junior League Golf matches that are designed to better socialize the game of golf for participants 13 years of age and under. The program features a team-vs-team format in a structured league providing a popular, less stressful scramble format.

Each PGA Junior League Golf Player receives a team golf shirt, League Hat, 4 regular-season league competitions, Instruction from a PGA of Canada Professional, Opportunity for All-Star Advancement and Access to the PGA Junior League Golf Website for $149.95 + HST

The PGA Junior League Golf regular season will be held on Sunday Mornings at 9 am; specific dates TBD upon registration.

Girl’s Golf Club

The Marshes’ National Junior Golf Development Centre offers a Girls’ Club designed for girls 11 to 18 years of age. As members of the Girl’s Club, young girls will develop the skills, attitudes and positive images of themselves as athletes on the golf course, encouraging both self-esteem and a life-long love of the game.

The Girls’ Club was developed to address the huge discrepancy between the numbers of young girls playing golf compared to the number of young boys. It aims not merely to attract girls to the game but also to help retain them longer.

Over an 8 week period, junior girls will receive 2 hours of comprehensive golf instruction, gain knowledge of the game that will bring a level of comfort while at any golf club, and develop new and close friends for $395.95 + HST.

Under the supervision and instruction of a PGA of Canada Instructor, the Girl’s Club will be held Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm starting on June 29th

Teen’s Golf Club

The Marshes’ National Junior Golf Development Centre offers a Teen Club designed for teens 13-18 years of age looking to spend a good portion of the summer holidays at the golf course, while providing parents with the peace of mind that their teens are in a safe and productive environment.

Available in monthly (for $1,795.95 + HST) or weekly (for $495.95 + HST) packages the teens will receive;

Introduction to Competition Program

The Marshes’ National Junior Golf Development Centre offers the first phase of Golf Canada’s competitive stream of Long Term Player Development (LTPD) that focuses on providing appropriate competitive experiences where winning and results are not the only priority.

Open to golfers 11-16 years of age who have already acquired basic golf skills, it should appeal to those that seek a learning environment with a competitive leaning. A team of PGA of Canada Professionals will provide both group and individual coaching encompassing all aspects needed to develop as a competitive golfer.

The program will be divided into 2 eight-week packages at a cost of $595.95 + HST each. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
